We only service /repair/upgrade sub 12 ft lb Weihrauch HW100, HW110, HW44 - we specialise in these guns rather than a "jack of all trades".
Our Service Workshops are in Carlton, Nottingham. Drop off and collection are by appointment only - Tuesday to Friday from 10.30am and Saturdays from 11am.
No problem, you can post your gun to us.
If the parcel is bigger than 61cm long, Parcelforce are the only postal service willing to accept low powered air rifles and they will only insure up to £100 on their Express 48Hour service. We have never had any problems with Parcelforce, but you do need to be aware of their terms. You can book the parcel online with Parcelforce and drop it off at the post office or local depot or you can arrange for collection from you at home/work.
If the parcel is 61cm or shorter, you can take it to the post office and use any of their “signed for” or “tracked” services, ie. Special Delivery with £1000 insurance costs £27.75 and it will get to us the next working day.
We won't need the stock, scope, magazine or moderator (unless the moderator is bonded on - usually found on the MK1 HW100). We will need the action & trigger, barrel & air cylinder. If you are sending a HW44 - please send the whole gun. Please also send a tin of the pellets that you USUALLY use so that we can tune and set up the power output. If you have a biathlon lever that can be removed, please remove it.
Make sure that the gun is not loaded or cocked and that the air cylinder is empty. Also make sure that the tin of pellets is sealed so that they cannot come undone during transit. Wrap the gun in plenty of bubble-wrap or something similar, paying special attention to any parts that are protruding and the barrel end - if you have a biathlon lever that can be removed, please do remove it - any bits that are sticking out that aren't protected properly during transit can break. If you cannot get hold of any bubblewrap, you can use anything that protects the gun during transit ie. sponge, towels, jumpers etc.. then pop into a sturdy cardboard box - pay special attention to where the barrel is - add more cardboard to the inside of the box to strangthen it if it needs it to make sure that the barrel cannot poke/burst through. Please pop a note inside the parcel with your contact details on and confirm which service/upgrade you would like. If you have had any specific problems with the gun that you would like us to pay attention to, please let us know. Before you seal the box up properly, make sure that there is no room for the gun to move about inside the box - stuff some scrunched up newspaper in the box to fill any gaps if you need to. Once you have sealed the box up, put your name and return address somewhere on the outside of the box - this helps us to identify your parcel and let you know as soon as it arrives.
Once the work has been carried out we will email a link to your invoice - the invoice can be paid by credit/debit card, Paypal, Bank Transfer, Cheque or cash on collection - whatever is easier for you.
The Full Service/Upgrade will take about a week to 10 days - we airtight test the gun at various points during the service with a final airtight test over 2 to 3 days to ensure that there are no slow leaks.
Easy, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and Mel will get back to you to arrange either a drop off appointment or provide details on posting your gun to us.
We specialise in the HW100, HW110, HW44 - and you want someone that knows what they are doing when it comes to working on your pride & joy! *At the moment, we are booked up until after Easter (week commencing 9th May), but if you wanted to get your gun to us before then, if we CAN start on it sooner, we will certainly try!
