HW100TUNING

Service & Repairs Terms & conditions

By instructing us to undertake a service or repair to your air gun, you agree to the following:-

You must be over 18 years of age to collect your air weapon or be accompanied by an adult.

Our Service Engineers are authorised to work on air weapons that are  within the standard UK legal output limit (currently 12ft lb for Air Rifles and 6ft lb for Air Pistols, hereinafter referred to as “standard”).  Air weapons are presumed to be standard when received by us and within the legal output limit. If we  find that this is not the case, we will reduce the power output  accordingly.  Please do not ask us to increase the power of your air weapon to above the legal limit, even if you DO have FAC, we can't & won't do it, under any circumstances.

We  accept no responsibility for damage to your property before receipt.

Please remove all unnecessary accessories ie, scopes, mounts, silencer /  sound moderators.

When posting your gun or parts to us, please note that if the parcel is bigger than 61cm long, Parcel Force are the only postal service willing to accept low powered air rifles and they will only insure up to £100 on their 48Hour service.    If the parcel is shorter than 61cm, you can take it to the Post Office and use any of their “signed for” or “tracked” services, the cost will be higher, but you are able to choose  a higher compensation cover.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your air gun is wrapped safely for shipping.  We recommend that you  wrap the gun in bubble-wrap (or similar packing materials) to protect  it and use a sturdy box.  Pack the box out to ensure the gun & the  contents cannot move about.   Please remember to include a note with your contact details (name,  address, contact telephone number and email address if you have one)  together with a list of the contents of the package and the service that  you require ie.  Full Service & Upgrade.

Most of our services ask that you supply us with pellets - we will need a tin of the pellets that you use REGULARLY.   Please do NOT send a tin of mixed weight pellets, we will not be able to get accurate results using mixed pellets.  We need to use the pellets to set up/fine tune the power output of your air weapon to ensure that it remains within the UK legal limit.  Please bear in mind when providing pellets that the weight effects the power, eg. if you supply us with 13.43gr pellets for your .177 Rifle, we will set the power output using these pellets.    If you then use lighter, "standard" weight pellets (eg. 8.44gr) you can expect a reduction in power.  (This is the opposite for springers - the lighter the pellet, the greater the  power).  Please also bear in mind that if you provide lightweight pellets, we cannot tune the power output to "maximum" using those pellets as this will render your air rifle as illegal when tested with "Standard" or "Heavy" pellets.  We will test the power output using "Standard" and "Heavy" pellets and adjust the power output accordingly to ensure that your air rifle remains legal.  We will not return the gun to you overpowered.    If you do not supply us with pellets, you  will be charged accordingly, ie.  16gr pellets for .22 x 150 = £5.40 (based on a tin of 500 costing £17.99) and 8.44gr pellets for .177 x 150 = £4.50 (based on a tin of 500 costing £14.99).

Additional charges will be made for repairs that are not included as standard during a Full Service/Full Service & Upgrade.  You will be informed of any additional repairs that are required before we continue. (This includes guns that require deep cleaning over and above a standard service).

When booking your gun in for the "AT Removal Service" please bear in mind that this does NOT include a full service or tuning the power output.  We will remove the anti tamper, install our pro-fit hammer (pro-fit hammer is available for the HW100 only), replace the hammer spring and return the gun to you with an allen key to allow you to adjust the power output as required to suit your pellets of choice (you will need a chronograph).  If you have provided your gun (rather than just the hammer), before returning the gun to you, we will test the power output to ensure that it is not OVER powered and will set the power to approx 11.5ft lb.  Please note:  removal of anti tamper from your HW100/HW110/HW44 will not effect ANY other part of the gun.  If you find that you cannot increase the power output after AT Removal, then this will be because another component of your gun is incorrectly set (eg. the regulator pressure).

We do not service after-market (not original) air cylinder other than our own titanium air cylinders. If you book your gun in for a service/service & upgrade and you send the gun with an after-market air cylinder, please note that we will carry out the work to the gun as arranged but we will use one of our original Weihrauch air cylinders during testing and NOT the after-market cylinder.  If you have problems with an after-market cylinder, please contact the company that you bought it from for servicing/repair.

We ask that you do not attempt to alter the work carried out by our  Service Engineers for at least 30 days of receiving your air weapon.  If  there is a fault with our service, including defects in parts, subject  to our own testing, we will repair the item.  Should a part that we have  replaced during a service malfunction within a 3 month period  commencing the date we despatched or returned the item, we will replace  the part at no cost to you. In this case, our labour will not be charged  unless it is apparent that the weapon has been tampered with by  yourself or your agent following our repair or service.  In such cases,  we have no liability to rectify the fault and reserve the right to  charge for our services, including return postage costs.

Please note:  Our service warranty does not cover leaks on the fill valve of your air cylinder.  We advise all of our customers to use a small amount of sillicone oil/grease on their CLEAN fill probe - if you use a dry or dirty fill probe to charge your air cylinder, dirt or small pieces of dry rubber can shear off the fill probe and get blown into the fill valve.  This will cause leaks and eventually, may stop you from filling the air cylinder.

Should any weapon be received by us and found to have been modified,  mishandled or parts fitted incorrectly by you or your agent, we cannot  accept any liability in respect of that item.  We will, at our  discretion, attempt to repair the weapon, although additional charges  may apply.  We will advise you of costs prior to undertaking such  additional repair works.

We maintain the right to refuse any repair.  Guarantees are non-transferrable.
