I just want to say a big thank you for the great repair of my hw100. It's working really well like new again.
A.S. 1st July 2020
I really want to say thankyou for your assistance and say what a difference buying the parts from you has made.
As I've said in previous emails I have an early mk1 hw100 in .22fac. it had a few issues the biggest being the leaking regulator. But after your advice of perseverance and to carry on polishing I'd like to say it is 100% leak free, plus while doing all of this, over time I've purchased your heavy-duty fac Belleville washers the match pair of fac hammer and valve Springs, fast flow valve stem, regulator manometer and other various seals and bits along the way.
All this finally all came together over the last couple of days and wow wish I had done this years back, it's made what was a very good rifle into a truly amazing rifle and now capable of a comfortable 23.5 ft lb with very minimal hammer spring pressure and a reg setting of 135 bar, while still retaining my shorter 410mm barrel rather than my fac 610 barrel. Plus best of all thumnail size groups at 55 yards and as for the Matched pair of springs it has made a a unbelievable difference.
So just really wanted to say a big thanks for your help and the quality of the parts you supply.

I'm really happy with the full service on my HW110, which was significantly down on power and cannot recommend HW100 Tuning enough.
Mel was great, and took the time to answer the few questions I had also keeping me informed when my gun arrived at the workshop, when the work was completed and gun ready to be returned. Fantastic!
Best of all, included in the work summary report was information about the new power levels on the pellets I had supplied PLUS details on pellets that I hadn't supplied that Mel found delivered even better results as a comparison / recommendation for me.... Talk about going the extra mile!
All in all, In very impressed with the customer service I have received and Mel deserves all the positive comments.
Great job, excellent company and fantastic service.

Just a brief note to let you know my HW100 is firing brilliantly and holding pressure. Delighted with the outcome. Many thanks.

Fitted shuttle. All good. Set to 11.4 over 160 shots to settle. Haven’t sighted in yet.
Many thanks, excellent service.

I sent the rifle into HW100 Tuning as it had developed a slow leak and had never had any work done since new (7 years old) so thought I best get the experts to sort it.
Since its return I have had approx 500 JSB Exacts through it and its awesome ,last night whilst shooting outdoors at a lased 32 yards I even shot a fly that landed on the target my buddy could not believe it .
Mel has been very quick to answer any questions I have had during and since the work has been done .
I can highly recommend their work to anyone who has such rifles.
A big thanks to Mel and team.

As I did not purchase my Daystate QF kit through ebay and therefore cannot score the kit, I thought I'd let you know, a very easy fit, delighted.

I just wanted to say thanks for a job well done.
The 110 is better than ever, I really can’t believe how down on power it was.
D.M. 5th May 2020
I like my HW110, but the power drop during the first year has been a struggle. I can't believe how easy it is to get it back up to 11 ft lb now the AT is removed. THANKS for the work and the guide, it's actually easier than you said it would be. Really pleased. Should have sent it to you last year.

A pic tells a thousand words, shot this yesterday inside, full mag 14 shots @ 40yds standing and it's typical of what the gun is giving me, have had better but this is typical. The couple of outer shots are down to me not the gun, the gun is fantastic, consistent and very accurate with very few fliers if any and the shot count up over 120+, so really impressed. Makes it a bit too easy, so much so I will have to go up on the distance to create more of a challenge, or get the old BSA mk1 airsporter out, I know!
Thank you for all your help and advice, really pleased with the gun which is even better than I expected.

I fix air rifles for a number of shops from as far away as Ireland. I have had seal kits from you a number of times I don’t seem to get many weihrauch rifles but when I do it’s a pleasure to receive one of your seal kits they are by far the most comprehensive best set out and labelled kits bar none even how you put the parts diagram online makes life so much easier. Thanks mate, Andrew ... 2nd April 2020
The weather finally allowed me to get out and shoot today and after your service, my rifle is working "sweet as a nut". Thanks again.

I have used my rifle about 3 times at the club range. First impressions Rifle now seems to be shooting more as I wanted/expected. All kill zones for HFT target 13 to 45 yards now within small mill dot range. Shooting at 10 mag using QYS pellets. Zeroed at 40 yards which I have been experimenting with since rifle returned. I put 56 pellets through it last night in one session last 8 probably below 100 bar on manometer but not to detrimental regarding accuracy. Considering courses only 30 shoots, Plus ten warm up shots should be fine. Lightweight cylinder has helped with standing and kneeling shots as it appears to help balance of the rifle.
R.K. 17th January 2020
Pro-fit Hammer System all fitted, I have attached a picture of two strings of 14 shots before fitting and two 14 shot strings after fitting, all strings where shot using randomly picked pellets from the tin ( 177, 4.52 H&N F.T.T 8.64 grn ).
You can see as thing began to settle down the second string only had a variation of 3 over 14 shots, (don’t think you can get any better than that ) BRILLIANT, I’m well pleased with that, I’ve now got every modification you do, the full set, and worth every penny.
I’ve now own a rifle that shoots far better than I can😉😊

I did receive the little action back plate Saturday morning so I reassembled the gun and the sights only needed four clicks to the left to be bang on a pencil line at ten yards.
I must say a big thank you for a superb service, I am extremely happy with the gun, a job very well done indeed. The gun is better now than I remember it from brand new it is very smooth, quiet and accurate, a joy to shoot.
I would be loathed to take my gun anywhere else or have anyone else touch it.
You pay attention to detail and certainly take a pride in your work.
Thank You once again with Best Regards,
Chris from Doncaster. 28th November 2019
Yesterday I managed to get a few hours shooting on my 100.
The difference on the magazine locking is amazing, I’d not realised how bad it must have been. I shot out to 85yds at Braces plinking range and killed/reset the 4cm rabbit quite a few times on the trot. Shot a group of 12 shots at 50 yards of sub 1” on a mild wind of 4 to 7 mph.
As I’d indicated it shot well before your magic hands got to work, but it’s much more consistent now. I’ve managed to get reading of 7fps of a full magazine using my nice cheap crombo, I’m getting a full 9 mags and still just in the Green before a top up. All in all I had a great days shooting.
All things considered you’ve done a great job for a reasonable price and I’m happily recommending you to my buddies at Braces and Riflemans

Put the rifle all back together with the new Reg in and went over the range this morning and filled it to 250 bar, this was the first time the cylinder had been filled since the Reg has been installed.
Instead of shooting it, decided to put it straight over a chrono and recorded a fourteen string, and was amazed at the results, remembering that this was the first time the Reg had been used, the highest was 778 and the lowest 775, a variation of 3 HOW AMAZING IS THAT.
Had a really brilliant morning shooting as near as one hole groups at 35 meters, and not missing much else I was aiming at.
I have to say my HW100 has got every latest mod that you do for the insides of them and it’s certainly been worth every penny.
Once again thanks for all your help, it been much appreciated.

Just collected the cylinder from Cyprus Post Office. Installed and tested, very happy just need a little fine tuning to get the best consistency in pellet speed.
Thought you might like some feedback:
121 shots using JSB Exact Heavy 10.34 grain
Average energy 28.61 Joules
Average speed 292.27 m/s
(Could not get much more than 40 shots before and always topped up after 2 magazines.)
Accuracy testing to follow.
Best regards from very happy customer in Cyprus. 19th August 2020
Very pleased with the rifle. Have done some shoots and the gauge has hardly dropped after five mags. Impressive. Accuracy is also spot on. 19th August 2020
To say that I’m over the moon is the understatement of the year
Originally, my .20 was getting 5 1/2 mags so 77 shots
As I said yesterday I set the reg to 89bar and the hammer spring to 11.5ftlb using JSB Exact 13.73gr. This gave no spike whatsoever when the gun came off reg
Well filled to 250bar and at a range of 35yds time to test accuracy and shot count. I cleaned the barrel so first 3 magazines were inside a 10p piece. Once leaded in the remaining shots were all inside a 5p
Here’s a photo of my 4th to 6th magazines. The remaining 3 magazines were just as accurate.
So in conclusion, as accurate as I could want and now 125 consistent shots before dropping off reg. That’s one pellet short of 9 magazines. Absolutely amazing!!!!"

As I had this Afternoon off I decided to fit the reg and all...two hours start to finish including cutting the old hammer adjuster rod and fitting your adjuster and drilling out that little cocking block screw...now replaced with one of yours....just chronoed the gun and after initial adjustment I'm getting a 5 fps variation max over and over with my usual weighed pellets set to 11.17 ft lbs and heavies and lights are all similarly consistent and giving between 11.01 and 11.5 ft lbs max which is superb.... As for shot count..I lost count and bled it down to 100 bar to check for a power spike as it came down off the reg. No spike at all just a steady decrease in power from 95 down to 80 bar. Im chuffed to bits with that performance and will try and keep count of the shots next time. Excellent results so far.
Thank s again.

As promised, update on the upgrades I have carried out on my .177 Carbine HW100.
In the end I replaced the Anti Tamper complete with a new Hammer Spring, Fast Flow Valve complete with a new spring, Upgrade Pressure Test port Seal, and last of all the best bit, a Carbine Titanium Cylinder and drop in Regulator System.
All in all it probably took me about five hours to complete as I was taking my time as this was the first time I have had the rifle in so many parts, (at this point i have to say the information and pictures on your guides page made it all possible).
Now the big test, rifle all reassembled and cylinder refilled to 250 bar, (no problems) what a great idea it was to put a air release valve in the end of the Air Cylinder just in case you need to remove it.
Rifle now put back into bag and put away, to check for any small leaks, after five days pressure gauge still reads 250bar (time for a small pat on the back).
Next an outing to the range to reset power and check shot count, set power to about 11.5 using H&N F.T.T 8.64 gn pellets and was getting a variation of 5fps 776-781 over 28 shots, but the best was still to come, my HW100 before the changes used to give me about 48 shots, wait for it, now I’m getting about 120, or nearly 10 Magazines, I was well please and wearing a big smile.
All parts that have been replaced where supplied by your company, once again thanks for all your help.

I finally got round to doing anti tamper and anti ping with parts I actually purchased early last year, as rifle was shooting ok and doing target competitions.
I struggled a bit with strip and rebuild had few niggles and problems it really tested my Engineering knowledge. I thought I couldn't get the outlet valve to seat but wasn't aware it leaks until you turn Regulator up high enough, it gradually stopped leaking.
I took her to club range and ran her through Chronograph, gradually increased power to 11.5ftlb with JSB exacts 4.52 14 shot's on last test 788fps to 781fps so 7fps variation amazing and extremely happy shoots so much smoother can barely hear her when pull trigger, really impressed with you're shuttle design and really noticeable difference with springs.
to top it off after testing/setting up HW100 I shot final summer competition sheet and turned in an awesome 98 out of 100
keep up the great work and many thanks for as you say making a great riffle Fantastic

Unboxing the package that was carefully wrapped and Royal Mail Special Delivered to my house, it was immediately clear to see that the parts oozed quality. I had gone for the black tube option and it was finished to a very high standard. They had even sent me a redesigned HW brass inlet adaptor as they could see improvements, something which I believe is going to be incorporated into the kits going forward.
I do not wish to speak ill of other people’s work, but these parts were a marked difference in quality from the original BTAS offering….worlds apart.
We have all seen the videos going around the net of “home made” or badly made aluminium tubes going pop, or poorly machined parts. There are no such fears with this system. Tested to over 700 BAR with no signs of weakness and constructed using CNC lathe this kit was impressive stuff! There is also the added advantage being able to fill the titanium tube to 250 BAR giving the opportunity for an increased shot count.
My kit was a little different to HW100Tuning's standard one as I already had some BTAS modifications to my rifle so I didn’t need certain parts like the pre-chamber doubler, and my original HW reg core had already been removed.
In my package I received:
• A karbine titanium tube
• Tube to HW block end with drop in regulator pre-set to my requested output of 95 BAR
• Tube front end with upgraded gauge and fill port cover
• O rings for the ends (pre installed)
• O rings for the filler probe (an upgraded item)
• Lawrie spanner just in case I ever needed to remove the ends (although these are fine hand tight)
• The new brass inlet adapter with upgraded nozzle o ring to replace the original HW part.
The whole system took me under 30 mins to assemble. I’ve worked on a few HW100’s, but even to a novice this is no more difficult than changing a few o rings. If you can change an o ring you can fit this system!
Next was on to filling it up! Anyone familiar with filling an air rifle from a dive bottle may have come across the strange effect of “Thermodynamics”. As you fill a bottle or tube it gets warm. When the tube or bottle cools, there can be a slight pressure drop. This can give the illusion of a leak, but this isn’t always the case.
After filling the new tube to 200 BAR and leaving for an hour of so my gauge showed a pressure drop of about 10 BAR and settled at 190 BAR. I topped it up to 220 BAR and then left it for 2 days to check for leaks.
I am pleased to report that the system went together first time, with no leaks, no adjusting and no problems. Ask anyone that knows me…I can break anything! I own 3x electrical engineering companies in the UK and my own staff won’t let me use power tools (its probably better this way) but even I fitted this system with no problems.
Id like to think I know a bit about airguns, and in particular, Rapids, Air Arms and HW100’s, but the instructions provided are fool proof for anyone to use….i reckon my wife could do it….but that would mean she has to go in my gun cabinet and she thinks I only have the one!
Testing: HW100Tuning had pre-set the reg to 95 BAR, leaving me just the fine tuning of the hammer preload to set my desired power. I tested JSB Exact Heavy and HW Magnum pellets as two of the heaviest offerings to make sure I didn’t run over the 12 ft/lb limit for non-FAC holders. I settled on 700 fps as being both consistent and offering a power of just over 11 ft/lbs.
When running pellets through the chrono (Alpha F1) I noted how consistent the reg was. 700, 703, 701, 699, 700 etc. The figures didn’t move further than 3 fps from my desired setting. Again, impressive stuff.
Reassembling the action and stock, I moved indoors to shoot a few targets with the HW Magnums just to get an idea of the potential accuracy of the gun before I come back another day to do one of my famed pellet tests (I enjoy these immensely). Initial results showed that the accuracy potential is there I just need to find “the pellet” (14 shots)
What was impressive, is that I had rattled through about 7-8 magazines with chrono testing, roughly zeroing and then a few targets to assess potential and I still hadn’t hit the reg pressure of 95 BAR. I would say from experience that this was a good 2-3 mags more than I would usually expect from a standard HW100K. The air usage, or lack of it more like was fantastic. Once I find the right pellet this is going to be a deadly combo.

Second kit went in as the first with no problems. Had a chance to field test both guns, the first rifle over the crono was about 11.3 ftlbs with a DV of 3 and SV of 1 that was over a 14 shot string with a 50yd group under a 5p. The second air rifle over the crono with much the same ftlbs and gave a DV of 6 and a SV of 1 and at 50yds the same result, Both the rifles were very consistant before but now they are superb and the shot count is a bonus, As I only do pest control consistency is most important but the shot count is handy when setting the rifles up. So in conclusion I would definatly recommend your product easy to fit and superb outcome. And thank for all your help.
